Tomorrow in Melbourne (and the following day in Sydney) WPDownUnder can exclusively report that the National Australia Bank is holding media briefing on its latest mobile technology developments. We will be there covering the event, which should prove to be a very exciting one for Windows Phone – or maybe even Windows 8! The NAB attendee’s don’t get any bigger on the IT side – with General Manager Digital Chris Smith and Head of Mobile & Emerging Technologies Ben Forsyth leading the event.
We have previously covered the current lack of a Windows Phone App for NAB banking here at this site – with earlier comments from Ben Forsyth stating as recently as last month:
“We have been closely monitoring the adoption of the Windows Phone platform with a view to increasing our level of support as customer numbers increase.” LINK.
However, WPDownUnder remains hopeful that we may see an exciting update on this front tomorrow. The event will feature Microsoft in attendance, and we are anticipating anything from an update on progress on Apps for Windows Phone, to early Windows 8 tablet demo’s – or anything in between!
Given many of our readers are NAB customers and requests for an app from them for Windows Phone has been near the top of the list for Aussie companies, make sure you check back here (or grab our App/signup for this site) to make sure you get notified of what we can report as news breaks!
